This piece arises from an exploration of matrescence and domestic space as a site of bodily transformation. Its form is drawn from the crook of an elbow, the bend of the arm that cradles, supports, and holds. The glazed surface, irregular and softened, carries the trace of the hand that shaped it. The work considers the arm as architecture, the body as shelter, and asks how an act as ordinary as holding can quietly reshape the body, the home, and the sense of self.
