This work isolates the quiet geometry of a tiled shower floor, rendered entirely in paper. Centered around a familiar drain, Drain Holes Under My Toes draws attention to the intimacy of mundane domestic encounters—the private, bodily rituals that often go unnoticed. By meticulously reconstructing the grid of tile and subtle imperfections of use, the piece evokes memory and presence through absence. The choice of paper, a delicate and absorbent material, echoes the vulnerability of the moment it references: standing barefoot, exposed, grounded by routine.
